Pushing the Boundaries of
Real-Time Rendering
This project showcases my approach to hyper-realistic lighting and real-time rendering in Unreal Engine. By leveraging advanced lighting techniques, ray tracing, and detailed cinematics, I create immersive and visually striking environments. This scene is part of my virtual production film, The Elves and the Shoemaker, where I explored real-time lighting techniques to enhance storytelling and atmosphere.
Howdy!
My name is Sina Alidoust Salimi!
I specialize in real-time rendering, virtual production, and digital twins, creating hyper-realistic interactive environments using Unreal Engine. My work spans cinematic storytelling, motion capture, and advanced lighting techniques, pushing the boundaries of real-time visualization.

MY EXPERTISE

Virtual Production
I have worked hands-on in a full-scale virtual production set, operating LED walls, motion capture, and camera tracking in real-time. Beyond building Unreal Engine environments, I actively manage on-set rendering, lighting for in-camera VFX, and seamless digital-physical integration for film and broadcast.

Digital Twins
I develop high-fidelity real-time replicas of real-world environments, integrating sensor data and predictive analytics for simulation and visualization. My work bridges the gap between real and virtual spaces, creating interactive and data-driven experiences.

Archviz
I produce photorealistic architectural visualizations, crafting high-quality still images, animations, and real-time interactive virtual tours. My focus is on achieving hyper-realistic lighting and materials for immersive design presentations.
FEATURED PROJECTS
Detonation Tube UE5 Animation | Digital Twins
My role in this project involved Art direction, lighting and look development, within Unreal Engine 5. I was also responsible for creating the base meshes using Rhinoceros 3D and Autodesk 3ds Max. All meshes were later remodeled into polygons by Britain Thomas in Autodesk Maya, who also handled the hard surface modeling of the details.
The elves and the shoe maker | Virtual Production Film
A virtual production short film bringing the classic tale to life using Unreal Engine 5. This project combines real-time rendering, dynamic lighting, and immersive set design, integrating live-action elements with digital environments. I handled scene creation, lighting, virtual camera work, and compositing, crafting a visually rich and interactive storytelling experience.

Detonation Tube UE5 Animation | Digital Twins
A cinematic short created using Vicon motion capture system and real-time rendering in Unreal Engine 5, blending dynamic character animation with immersive storytelling. I processed and integrated motion capture data into Unreal Engine, refining character movements and expressions. Additionally, I designed and directed cinematic shots, leveraging advanced lighting and camera techniques to enhance the visual storytelling.
